The Scottish Catholic Archives acts as a hub for the Archives of the Catholic Church in Scotland at home and abroad, assisting with the archives in the Scots Colleges in Rome and Salamanca.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC ARCHIVES

The Scottish Catholic Archives includes over 750 individual collections, spanning 800 years of Scottish and European history - from royal archives to sacramental registers; photographs and film; maps and plans. Further information and catalogues

ARCHDIOCESE OF GLASGOW ARCHIVES

The Archives of the Archdiocese of Glasgow are held at 196 Clyde Street, Glasgow. In addition to records dating from 1878, when the Hierarchy was restored in Scotland, there are some earlier records dating back to the 1820s from the former Lowland and Western District Vicariates. Access and enquiries about the Archives should be directed to the Archives at the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

PONTIFICAL SCOTS COLLEGE, ROME, ITALY

The Archives of the Pontifical Scots College, Rome, Italy are split between the Scottish Catholic Archives and the College itself.   Access to materials held in the college is by appointment only. Please contact via archivists@scottishcatholicarchives.org.uk if you wish to conduct research in the College Archives.

ROYAL SCOTS COLLEGE, SALAMANCA, SPAIN

The Archives of the Royal Scots College, Salamanca, Spain are split between the Scottish Catholic Archives and the College itself.   Access to materials held in the college is by appointment only.  Please contact via archivists@scottishcatholicarchives.org.uk if you wish to conduct research in the College Archives.
