I wonder is anyone else having trouble using the new Scotland's People site to access the Catholic records that recently went on line? I have been able to download images of births successfully but when I try to use the category 'other' that includes First Communions I have had images that are just a mass of black lines. I have sent four emails and only had one reply that didn't address the problem I reported at all . Still no access to the images I paid for and no return of credits. I have waited patiently for months for these records to come on line and now feel it has been a waste of time.

Sorry that you haven't been able to get the correct image results and that you haven't had a response to fix it yet.

I wonder if you mind forwarding details of your search and the image you were hoping to see to archivists@scottishcatholicarchives.org.uk and we will investigate for you.

We have spent a lot of time and resources trying to get this right, so always happy to learn of any problems that we can iron out.

Thank you for the suggestion . I have emailed as you suggested but have now since discovered that 10 of my previously purchased CPR birth records have also disappeared from my 'viewed images' and timeline. It is as if I never purchased them. The record is there but it just says 'no image' . I had printed off paper copies and saved them on my computer but it was very convenient to have them stored in my Scotland's People account. This is becoming a bit of a disaster and I hope it isn't happening to too many other people.

Hi ,Just to keep you up to date on what is happening with the Catholic records I tried to access. I have been refunded all the credits from my disappeared records. The last thing I have been told by GROS in an email is that the problem is with the Catholic records from St.Ninians Tynet. It must be only a partial problem however as some of my St.Ninians Tynet records stayed in my viewed images while others disappeared. It is not possible to search new records from St.Ninians Tynet however although I was able to access a baptism record for one of the children from Fochabers Church where she had also been registered. I have not been told how long it will take to remedy this situation only that it may be better not to try any more searches there until the problem is fixed. I have no idea when that will be. Hopefully Scotland's People will put some announcement on the site when they are ready but I haven't even seen any recognition so far that there is a problem. All the best Ann
